FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BRISTOL, TN (September 8, 2019) – The Bristol community is rallying together to help dear friends, students at Tabernacle Baptist Christian Academy, located in Freeport, Bahamas, after they have suffered devastating losses due to Hurricane Dorian.
The Tennessee High and Arby’s Classic community is currently purchasing needed items such as computers, bottled water and drinks, electrical items, flooring, and many other items that will be needed to rebuild the Tabernacle Baptist Academy and the students and teachers’ homes. We are learning each day of new things that will be needed to rebuild the Tabernacle Community. The collecting group will be delivering the items via truck to Fort Lauderdale to meet the Tabernacle group for pick-up of the items.
If you are an Arby’s Classic fan, you are familiar with the high school students that visit our area every December. The Tabernacle Baptist Falcons have been playing in the Arby’s Classic for many years. Their pastor/coach has preached at many local churches. Members of the Tabernacle community sang a beautiful rendition of Rocky Top at the Classic in 2018. Many people have connections to the Tabernacle community.
